About Root to fruit

I am a full submersion baptised Christian who found himself in the 'wilderness' for decades.

The wilderness is a hard place to be, yet I found my way through it and survived – thanks be to God. I say this sincerely, because without God, and without the blessings given through His Son, Jesus, I truly believe I would not be alive today

Only now am I beginning to understand what I once could not see (thanks anom). I therefore welcome you to read my testimony for the finer details. >> click here. As through meeting anom, am starting to recognise the opportunities that were placed before me all along. I am deeply grateful to no longer be in the wilderness, and I look forward with hope and excitement to discovering the fruits of my growing faith.

My father taught me the meaning of life by the way he lived, not just by what he said, but by what he did. Now, I’m honoring that by caring for my mother with Alzheimer’s. It’s a role I embrace fully, guided by the spiritual security of the Bible and the specific instructions in 1 Timothy 5:4 and 5:8 to repay our parents and provide for our own.

Honesty

Honesty
Repent

They say honesty is the best policy, and in God’s eyes, it truly is. From my heart, I will share only my open and honest thoughts on this blog. Doing so makes me vulnerable, but I am open to learning from any comments offered. It may even make for interesting reading – and certainly, from my learning.

Learning

Taking the Bible to heart
An open Bible

There are many different ways to learn: academic study, learning from what others say, learning from people in our direct environment, and personal research that is often done just to satisfy our own ego… then there is wisdom.

I have learned to set my ego aside and learn from the Bible. Every time I question it or try to challenge it, it answers my questions in the most amazing way.

Community

Commnity
Community Feeding

No one is truly an island. We are shaped for connection, drawn toward one another in ways both seen and unseen. God did not create us to stand alone in our own echo, but as unique souls, each carrying gifts meant to be shared.

We learn ourselves through relationships. In the quiet closeness of another human heart, something opens – understanding softens, strength is shared, and growth takes root. A relationship with God may guide us inward, but it is often through one another that love finds its living form.

When we offer what we have – our kindness, our time, our presence – we weave ourselves into a greater whole. We are many voices, not a single note; a community, not an island. And in that shared space, we discover blessings that could never be found alone.

Testimony

Testimony before God
Testimony

It is human nature to be curious – to want to know and understand another person. Through my testimony, you will learn about me: the good, the bad, and the ugly.

That might interest some people or even draw in more followers, but that is not my intention or expectation. I leave that in God’s hands and trust in His wisdom.

My journey has not been orthodox, but it is my journey. I openly admit where I went wrong, and yet I also believe there were moments when I was right. I trust that God shaped this path so that I could learn, grow, and understand in my heart why it all matters when the time comes for final judgment.

Joy

Fearless

There are many forms of joy. Some are felt quietly within us, while others are expressed outwardly for all to see. Each of these joys is real and meaningful.

Yet there is a special kind of joy that runs much deeper and lasts far longer. It is a joy that comes not from circumstances, but from simply asking and trusting. It is rooted in something stronger than hope – because it is real. Through this joy, you gain confidence, knowing you are free, and in that freedom, you discover a fearlessness that stays with you. Thank you, Jesus.
