Psalm 30 is a heartfelt song of thanksgiving and praise from King David to God. David expresses profound gratitude for being rescued from death, illness, and his enemies.   1. I will speak highly of you, Lord; because you pulled me out of trouble and kept my enemies from cheering over my downfall.
  2. Oh Lord, my God, I called to you when I was in pain, and you restored my health.
  3. God, you snatched my life back from the brink of death; you preserved me, preventing me from falling into the grave.
  4. Let all of God's devoted people sing to Him, and give thanks whenever you recall His perfect goodness and purity.
  5. His anger lasts only for a brief moment, yet His blessing brings everlasting life. Tears might flow through the night, but happiness greets us in the morning.
  6. During my time of success and comfort, I proudly declared that I would never face a setback.
  7. Lord, it was your kindness that made my position so secure and firm. But when you withdrew your presence, I was thrown into great distress.
  8. I desperately called out to you, Lord; I poured out my heart in earnest prayer to God.
  9. What benefit is there if I am dead and buried in the ground? Can mere dust sing your praises? Can it speak about your faithfulness to anyone?
  10. Listen, Lord, and show me your kindness; God, please come to my aid.
  11. You transformed my sorrowful wailing into joyful dancing; you removed my heavy, sad clothing and wrapped me in happiness instead.
  12. So that my innermost self can sing praises to you and never hold back. Oh Lord, my God, I will always give you thanks, for all time.
