Chapter Summary
Psalm 17 is a prayer from David, asking God for justice and protection. He appeals to God, declaring his innocence and asking God to examine his heart, claiming he has walked in God's ways and avoided evil. David then describes his enemies as proud, prosperous, and predatory, comparing them to hungry lions lying in wait. He asks God to intervene, defeat these wicked individuals, and save him. The psalm concludes with David expressing his ultimate hope and satisfaction in seeing God's face and being transformed into His likeness, contrasting this with the worldly desires of his enemies.
